Delete your Chronicle account
Chronicle is developed by XYZ Agent LLC. This page explains how to delete your Chronicle account and what happens to your data.
Delete your account from inside the app
1. Open Chronicle and sign in.
2. Go to Settings, then Account, and scroll to Delete.
3. Choose Delete Account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. You do not need to contact us first.
If you cannot sign in
If you have uninstalled Chronicle or cannot access your account, email chronicle@xyzagent.ai from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it.
Put [delete-account] at the start of the subject line so the request is routed correctly. We will confirm once it is done.
What is deleted
Your account and profile are deleted: your sign-in credentials, email address, display name, profile photo and phone number, your appearance and theme preferences, and the requests and responses saved to your account.
What is kept
Records we are required to keep for legal, tax and accounting reasons - such as purchase and billing history - are retained for up to 7 years. These are held by our payment processors and are not used to identify you in the app. Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you may also be retained.
Backups are purged on a rolling 30 day cycle, so deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in Google Play or the App Store, depending on where you subscribed, otherwise billing continues.
